A typical visit to our office begins with completing paperwork, which includes your medical history and consent forms. It is advisable to bring a list of all the medications that you take. We will review your chief complaint, the referring dentist's information and the history of tooth pain. Dr. Kim will evaluate your symptoms, and test the teeth to make a proper diagnosis. Your treatment options and risks will be reviewed with you before any treatment begins.

It is normal to feel some tenderness in the area for a few days after your root canal treatment as your body undergoes the natural healing process. These symptoms are temporary.

Root canal treatment is only one step in returning your tooth to full function. A proper final restoration placed by your dentist is extremely important in ensuring long-term success. Be sure to contact your dentist as soon as possible to arrange your next appointment.
